Forum on Grading

***UPDATE***
THANK YOU to those who were able to join us for the forum. áWe had a wonderful turn out of approximately 45, not including committee members. áWe have collected a number of documents as a result of the forum, which you can review here. áThis includes: The Proficiency-based Learning Steering Committee will be meeting 6/13 to review the feedback and discuss any potential adjustments to the philosophy statements (we also got feedback from the faculty at all seven schools).á After that, our next steps include bringing the Philosophy to the Board to consider adoption, and then begin to design practices aligned to the philosophy (such as reporting, recognition, and eligibility, just to name a few.) áStay tuned, as we will have future opportunitiesáto share more, and gather additional input!

=============
We'd like parents' feedback on a draft grading philosophy that the district's Proficiency-based Steering Committee has created. áJoin us to learn more, ask questions, and provide feedback.

Maine Educational Assessment (MEA) InformationPosted: Friday, January 8, 2016
This spring, the State of Maine will begin to use a new version of the Maine Educational Assessment (MEA) to measure our students achievement in mathematics and English Language Arts (reading and writing) in grades 3-8. In addition, we will once again use the SAT for students in their third year of high school. Both tests will replace the Smarter Balanced Assessment used last year.
